Kibbutz Ohel Sarah in Foehrenwald

Foehrenwald, in Germany, was among the largest of the Displaced Persons camps, with a particular active Orthodox scene. Young people were organized into “Kibbutzim” for social, cultural, and educational purposes, with Bais Yaakov girls forming Kibbutz Ohel Sarah, named for Sarah Schenirer. Sara Abraham is in the middle of the photo, in a white shirt.
